What they are saying about Niko Discovers the 5 Senses Game
I am so grateful for everyone who takes a moment to share their impressions of my work. It is done in hopes of bringing a smile to thface of a little one. I'd love to add your testimonial to this site as well. Send me a note, please let me know what you think of our first book.
Karen's book, Niko Discovers the 5 Senses Game, is an essential story to help kids manage emotions by using a technique that really works. One of the best ways to help meet the social-emotional needs of children as an educator is to help them develop the social-emotional skills they need to be resilient. This book will give so many children ways to overcome obstacles and adjust to become successful in life.

Karen Correll’s beautifully written children’s book “Niko Discovers the 5 Senses Game” is a must-own for parents and children. As we are learning to navigate our way through this current pandemic worry, stress is at the forefront of every family. Through this book, she has created a simple but thoughtful technique brought to life to help children find ways of managing worry. It also gives parents a way of spending fun quality time with their children while teaching self-soothing skills. Teaching a child to use their imagination and look inward for guidance and strength is a skill that will benefit them throughout their lifetime. As a Clinical Social Worker, I will certainly be sharing this book with families and Clinicians.

It was just a dream, then...
dreams really do come true!
For years, possibly decades, I have wondered and dreamed about writing and publishing a children's book.
Not having any idea where to start, it seemed like it was just a dream. Then, about five years ago, my cousin told me about a children's book she always dreamed about writing, but she did not know anyone to illustrate it. After telling me about the premise, I told her I would be thrilled to give it a try. Never having done this type of work, I told her I could not make promises, but I would do my best and send her my initial page. Drawing and designing in between work and family time, we finally completed it. Then the book sat. Neither of us knew a publisher or how to bring the book to life. I offered to run with it and become an Indie publisher, and here we are! Please check out the blog for a couple of articles on the first two new books and why they mean so much to us.
I'm really glad you have stopped by, please sign up for updates to new posts. Also, we love feedback, drop a comment, and tell us what you think. We really appreciate your support!

Be Well,
Karen
